On Wednesday, May 24, the government of Saskatchewan had to close the route again after reaching its intake quota of 600 places eight days after the previous intake cycle. The May 16 cycle was among the longest in recent months, as per the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Since this route is Express Entry-aligned, the nomination certificate from the SINP will give the applicant automatic 600 points on top of his/her existing score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Through this, the applicant becomes a part of the Federal Express Entry pool of candidates.

Despite, the International Skilled Worker-Express Entry sub-category being temporarily closed until further notice, lots of other skilled workers and skilled trades provincial nominee programs are available and open to workers seeking to work and live in Canada.
